A federation (fed) links many groups so one ban applies everywhere at once. Create a fed, have group owners join it, and every /fban is enforced in all of them: instantly in the chats where I've already seen the user, and the moment they join or speak anywhere else.
Creating & managing (in PM)¶
/newfed<name>: create your fed (one per person). You get a fed ID to share./renamefed<name>,/delfed: rename or delete it (deletion asks for confirmation)./fedtransfer<user>: hand the fed over to someone else; you stay as fed admin./fedreason[on|off]: require a reason for every fban./fednotif[on|off]: PM you on each fban/unfban./myfeds: feds you own or administrate.
Joining (group owner)¶
/joinfed<fedId>: put this group in a fed (one fed per group)./leavefed: leave it./chatfed: which fed this group is in (admins)./quietfed[on|off]: don't announce automatic fed bans here.
Bans (fed owner & fed admins)¶
/fban<user> [reason]: ban in the whole fed. In a group it uses the group's fed; in PM, your own fed. Repeating it updates the reason./unfban<user>: lift the fed ban everywhere it was applied./fbanlist[csv|minicsv|json]: export the ban list as a file (once every 30 min)./importfbans: reply to a.csvor.jsonexport to import it.- Fed owners and admins can't be fbanned; group admins and approved users are never auto-banned.
Fed admins (owner)¶
/fedpromote<user>//feddemote<user>: manage who can fban. Works in PM or in a group of your fed./feddemoteme<fedId>: step down as fed admin./fedadmins[fedId]: list them.
Fed log (owner)¶
/setfedlog[fedId]: in a group, log fed actions there. In a channel, post/setfedlog <fedId>and press the confirmation button./unsetfedlog: stop logging.
Subscriptions (owner)¶
/subfed<fedId>: also enforce that fed's bans in your groups (up to 5 feds)./unsubfed<fedId>,/fedsubs[fedId]: remove or list subscriptions.
For everyone¶
/fedinfo[fedId]: name, owner, counts and subscriptions./fedstat[user] [fedId]: which feds a user is banned in, or the reason and date in one fed./fbanstat<fedId>: check your own status in a fed.
