Filters

Info

This page is generated from the bot's built-in help (/help).

Automatic replies: when a message contains a trigger, I answer with the saved reply. Great for FAQs, links and inside jokes.

Commands

  • /filter <trigger> <reply>: add a filter. Reply to a message to use it as the reply (media included) or write the reply right after the trigger.
  • /stop <trigger>: remove a filter.
  • /stopall confirm: remove every filter (group owner).
  • /filters: list the filters of this chat.

Triggers

  • word: matches that word anywhere in a message, case-insensitive and ignoring accents.
  • "a phrase": use quotes for multi-word triggers.
  • (hi, hello, "good morning"): several triggers sharing one reply.
  • exact:thanks: only when the whole message is exactly that.
  • prefix:!: when the message starts with that text.
  • /command: command-looking triggers work too, as long as I don't already have a command with that name.

Reply

The reply supports everything notes do: formatting, fillings such as {first} and {mention}, URL buttons, %%% random variants and media. [Text](buttonurl://#note) opens a note.

Flags

  • {user}: only regular users trigger it. {admin}: only admins.
  • {allow_bot}: let other bots trigger it (ignored by default).
  • {replytag}: reply to the message the user replied to, and point the fillings at that person. Handy for /filter warnlink Please don't post links``.
  • {preview} {nonotif} {protect} {mediaspoiler} {rules}: same as in notes.
  • {command Description}: with a /command trigger, I'll add it to the chat's command menu with that description.

Each filter fires at most once every 3 seconds, and only the most specific matching filter replies.
