Formatting¶
Info
This page is generated from the bot's built-in help (/help).
Notes, filters, welcomes and rules are saved as markdown and rendered when sent. Use /markdownhelp anywhere for this guide, and /preview <text> (or reply to a message with /preview) to see exactly how something will look before saving it.
Text styles¶
**bold** → bold
_italic_ → italic
<u>underline</u> → underline
~~strike~~ → ~~strike~~
<span class="spoiler">spoiler</span> → spoiler
`code` → code; three backticks on their own lines make a code block
[text](https://example.com) → text
Lines starting with > become a quote; end the last line with || to make it expandable.
Fillings (replaced when the message is sent)
{first} {last} {fullname} {username} {mention} {id}: the user it's sent to or who triggered it.
{chatname}: the group's name.
{rules}: adds a Rules button.
Flags, removed from the text: {preview} show the link preview, {nonotif} send without notification, {protect} block forwarding and saving, {mediaspoiler} blur the media. Notes also take {admin}, {private}, {noprivate}, {user}, {replytag} and {repeat 6h} (see the Notes help).
Random variants¶
Separate alternatives with a line containing only %%%; one is picked at random each time.
Buttons¶
[Text](buttonurl://example.com) → a URL button on its own row.
[Text](buttonurl://example.com:same) → placed on the same row as the previous button.
[Text](buttonurl://#notename) → opens the note notename. Chain notes with these buttons to build menus, and add a Back button pointing to the first note.
Escaping¶
Put a backslash before a character to keep it literal: \**not bold\**, \_, \[, \ or{`. Inside code spans nothing is parsed.
